With social distancing and sheltering-in-place mandates, people have become more isolated, lonely, and locked into their own private worlds. Isolation is another suffering brought on by the pandemic.

Artist and senior gold-winning basketball player Lori Powers has set out to attract people to look outside of their own worlds.

She made it her mission to bring connection and joy into the streets of her West LA neighborhood by making and installing public art made of found recycled objects.

Art is something we can all share and be inspired by.
